DGPMeet was created in response to the surge in demand for online meetings during the pandemic years. Although it was built on Jitsi at its core, this project opened a gateway for me into the world of WebRTC, media encoding, and real-time video infrastructure. It also nudged me to explore Java and Elixir, giving me a deeper appreciation for low-level systems and the complexities of live media communication. It was a quiet but meaningful chapter in my journey of understanding performance and concurrency on a different level.
